Ask Your Computer Guy

My computer pick of the day (maybe the week!):
HP ProDesk 400 G9 - $399.99
- Intel Celeron CPU
- 8GB RAM (expandable to an incredible 64GB!)
- 256GB SSD storage
- built-in WiFi
- HDMI and DisplayPort outputs (supports 2 monitors)
- keyboard and mouse included
- Windows 11 Pro

Who is this BEST for?
- someone who maybe already has a Windows 7 or 8 machine (maybe 10) and needs to upgrade to Windows 11 to stay updated
- someone who doesn't have a TON of pictures/videos, etc
- someone who just needs a "faster" daily "everyday usage" machine (kids, paying bills, small office computer, etc)
- someone who doesn't have a big budget for a "new" computer
- great gift for someone who needs a "newer computer" (looking at you, Dad), but doesn't need or want to spend a lot of money

All in all, not a bad, brand NEW, HP desktop computer for only $399.99 - amzn.to/45BXoAR

@MrLourie

HP was the first computer I ever owned and I found it to be lacking in many ways. Since then Dell has been the best for me.

I have this exact same HP PC. Great price for the quality you get. I doubled the RAM and upped the SSD to 1TB

A cool computer at a good price for some people. I haven't had 8 gigs of ram for at least 15 years. haha.. I've got 32 gigs right now I was thinking of upgrading to 64. From some of the videos I've been looking at though it doesn't seem to make that much of a difference from 32 to 64.

I love the form of MiniPCs; anyone know of one with a dGPU?

@markd.9538

Don’t recommend a celeron to ANYONE, ever. They are underpowered rubbish. An i7 from a decade ago has more grunt than a celeron of today.

@davinp

256GB SSD can be filled up quickly. I would prefer 512GB
