The Scourge was the perfect "evil". It made the world feel complete, big and unknown.

Anything old God related. Void stuff is cool and interesting to learn about.

The story of Arthas is my favorite story in Warcraft. And in general the lore surrounding the paladins. You know, that crusader vibe. The fight against darkness. Good stuff.

The Amani Trolls. Zul'jin to be specific. Kept me interested in this game for 8 years now.

All the lore surrounding Blackrock Mountain is pretty cool. Especially the Dark Iron Dwarves, like the kidnapping or Moira Bronzebeard.

First time I learned what the old gods were in wrath, I was hooked. It got me into HP Lovecraft's writing. And then I dove deep into all of Warcrafts lore

Troll & Orc lore have always fascinated me :) I love their history, cultures, and the differences in their tribes/clans. Easily my 2 favorite races.

While I have been curious about Draenor I love the Scourge era back when they were relevant. Grew up in that era, enjoyed the game greatly.

I love all of it. As a historian, the lore just fascinates me. As a life long WoW player (since 2005 and the RTS games before that and Diablo 2 to boot. I love WoW.

It's evolved over the years. In vanilla I loved the Dwarf lore, the whole uncovering their past as archeologists was cool. I was also a huge fan of Tolkien's works and was disappointed that the films didn't have more dwarfs in them at the time. Then it turned to the Scourge with Wrath, which is where my main became a death knight. Becoming a Worgen in Cata because undead werewolves are bad ass, but also because Sauron was the first werewolf and a necromancer in Tolkien's lore. It would stay that way all the way up till dragon flight were we got some real upfront dragon lore. Yeah we got bits and pieces before that, but for a major faction on Azeroth their lore wasn't as consolidated as most others. So I changed over to an evoker and have been since. Also the expansion were I rolled as a healer for the first time. But through it all my favorite aspect of the game was Horde vs Alliance. My fondest memories are of being outnumbered 4 to 1 on Arthas pvp server and still managing to crump hordies all day long. RiP world pvp.

Orc and Tauren. When I started wow I played alliance. Then I tried Warcraft 3, and gained a new respect for the Orc and Tauren lore.

my favorite warcraft game is WC2. The lore in the game manuals for the orcish clans was always some of my favorites. Love the Black Tooth Grin, Shattered Hands, and Bonechewers. Just so insanely brutal very old-school Warcraft.

The Infinite Dragonflight and alternate timelines. It's a small subsection of the lore, but my favorite dungeon is End Time and Well of Eternity, so anything that involves seeing the past or future of Azeroth is so fascinating to me.

All the stuff that existed within the TTRPG. There are pretty amazing things one could look for that hasnt been tackled in WoW at all or just briefly. And: Demon lore. Like how Wrathguards are heavily mutated Draenei meant to serve as honorguards. Or how Sayaadi are exceptionally cruel and sadistic who keep journals made out of skin. Or how Observer, my favorite type of demons, are capable to wield tons of magic, are highly migratory and are actually one of the very few examples of "natural demons". Most demons we know are corrupted, only a few species are actually native demons. And, last but not least: Pandaria lore and, by extension, the Pandaren.

Absolutely love Pandaria and all of its lore. Always been fascinated with it since I was young and the expansion was announced

As much as I love hearing about Belfs, Nelfs, and the undead, learning obscure bits of lore that I overlooked ( whether or not it was retconned) is always a treat!
