This makes me happy! BUT, we NEED a stronger o-line too! Having a great defense won't matter if we have an inconsistent kicker and an o-line that isn't protecting Purdy enough.

The only thing that disappoints me about this draft is the lack of urgency in prioritizing the offensive line early in the draft. No, I don't believe we needed to select one in the first three rounds, but there were still good pass-blocking O-linemen available in round 4th and 5th. I don't think it was necessary to reach for a running back in the 5th round, especially given our track record of finding quality RB's in the later rounds. It's not like running back was a critical need, either. Selecting an OL with one of our fifth-round pick would have been the perfect opportunity to bolster the OL, even if it wasn't considered a major priority.

We have needed a true CB to cover the deep ball for a couple years now always getting beat deep at the last minute for a lack of speed. Offense will be fine if the coach will stop playing conservative every time we have a small lead.
