He was a prominent figure in West Coast hip-hop, collaborating with numerous artists like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Warren G. It was never certified Platinum till Nate was singing in it as he was the veritable King of G-Funk. However, his demons caught up with him when after a traffic accident he skipped hospital coupled with his hard living he suffered the third of a series of strokes that claimed his life in March 2011.
