Abby, you did a fantastic job of covering Yoko''s art career. I wasn't aware of her full endeavors. Really nice information.

People love to hate Yoko's singing, but man does it work on Sunday Bloody Sunday! It's like the cry of a million souls who were suffering under the boot of British imperialism at the same time

I’m so excited to listen to this. I’m not sure how to feel about Yoko as a person but her art and music are severely overhated

While I have to admit, I’ve never been a fan of Yoko, I’ve always been fascinated with her, and her whole “career“, and commitment to whatever her art is. Or isn’t. So I can’t wait to listen to this. Especially as covered by you all

Ono's music is illuminated by 2 films: LAST YEAR IN MARIENBAD( Resnais); VIVRE SA VIE( Godard)

Haven’t heard the podcast yet but Yoko is awesome! So much of the music I love is inspired by both her music and her as an icon. She might be the most punk rock person to ever live. For the amount of crap she’s gotten she’s never ever cared and has always continued being her and doing her art! She also raised one hell of a son in Sean! I absolutely love his album Into the Sun and in interviews have heard that his mother inspires him and helped him get to where he is as a musician!

A delicate gift, as always. Nothing compares to Abigail, right Sinéad O?

Speaking of Yoko, is Fly ever on the list for a Vinyl Monday? I feel like that or Approximately Infinite Universe could make for good episodes.

Yoko Ono's work is trully connected with Nathalie Serrault's novels and Susan Sontag's essays, sixties Ono's heroines( not the Beatles)

I don't care for Yoko as an artist or person she was very manipulative but she definitely didn't break up the Beatles. The Beatles broke themselves up egos and adult issues outside the group.

We're about halfway through Ep. 1 (we listen in the car), and it's been interesting to learn about her early life. But I'm specifically writing to pass along a message from Laura, who said to tell you that she loved the Linda McCartney show and thought that was the best episode you've done so far.

“the average rating of our podcast is too high,” we lamented. “let's incite a mob of one-star reviews just for covering yoko ono!” Emma and i giggled, as we rubbed our little hands together like flies.
season 2 of the Dolls Pod is going down screaming...or whatever you call her distinct vocal stylings. part ONE of our TWO-part season finale is up now, because we absolutely need two parts to unpack a subject such as her. and if art history is involved, you'd best believe i'll be yapping!!
"Oh, Yoko! Part One" is available now, wherever you stream your podcasts 🌊
