Life is Short. My honey was on his way to a doctor's appointment this morning when a small plane crash-landed and burst into flames in the median strip just ahead of him. Both the pilot and his wife were killed on impact. Another car was hit by parts of the plane. Rather than wait for an ambulance, the woman driving that car was taken to the hospital by another motorist. Minutes later, fire trucks, police and other emergency vehicles started showing up. Traffic was tied up for hours while they put out the fire, cleared the wreckage and reconstructed the crash. I thank God for sparing my honey and so many others this morning. He also spared our best friend Dave who had an appointment in the same office at the same time. Had they been driving a little faster or left the houses a little earlier, it may have been a different story. I was taking pictures of the breaking news on TV and forwarding them to him to give him the latest updates since it was very difficult for them to see what was happening ahead and we were having a N'orEaster storm, minus the snow. I pray for the family of the pilot and his wife and the woman who was injured. Yes life is short.
