You'll never have enough water. Or ammo, tbh. Or sleep. Or time.

"You're not gonna need that dude, we'll be back in a half hour" turned into an all night ordeal. I'll take the water. Also, hats off to Tom Hardy in this role before anyone knew who he was.

The Vietnam guys will say ammo ammo ammo. The Middle East guys will say water water water. All depends because I feel confident there’s plenty of water to be had in the Jungle. Not too confident about finding water in Kabul…

I'm glad to see water beating out ammo. You can't be combat effective without it.

Depends what environment I’m in and what the enemy situation is. Water can be easily replenished in certain environments. Ammo will not always be resupplied.

Depends on the mission. If we do DA operation then ammo. If we do a long range patrol or recce then water. Also depends on the environment and climate.

Depends on the location and availability to supply either and the likelihood of either being depleted.

heatcasing happens so easily and should never be underestimated. the heat can get so bad depending where you’re stationed. had a buddy who got so hot he just dropped and was stiff as a rock. later he told me that if it were just a few more minutes he would’ve died because his internal temp was so high it was nearly boiling his brain, at least that’s what medical told him straight up. he developed a minor speech impediment after that experience and chose not to reenlist because it was that bad. even if the temperature doesn’t seem that intense, DRINK YOUR WATER!
