The complexities is what drew me into BSD in the first places (well it was actually Dazai’s looks but the details and lessons is what keeps me in the fandom)

tbh the thing that makes me the most mad are the constant shipping wars and the people who ONLY are there for the ships. like yeah it's a fandom, there's going to be ships BUT THAT'S NOT THEIR ENTIRE CHARACTER!!! (coming from someone who practically breathes skk) not to mention the shipping wars it's like just let people ship what they want to ship as ling as it's not a proship or a comship!?!? (ppl also need to understand that EVERY ship in bsd is toxic to some degree) I've seen so much hate on rarepairs AND popular ships (for some reason unbeknownst to me apparently it's 'cool' to hate on popular ships) now too because people don't know how to respect opinions and it genuinely pisses me off. if you don't like a ship that is FINE but don't hate on posts about it or make it your entire personality!?!? some people genuinely find comfort in their ships so do you really want to make other people upset just for liking a ship?!? it's honestly pathetic. with the recent ship wars I've been seeing we're about to end up like the mha fandom...ok maybe not THAT far but we're certainly going to end up there if people don't start getting their act together.

Actually you got it right I'M 13 but still I understand every tiny thing about every characters it's just that people need to judge with their brains not their heart For example many people love dazai for his look meanwhile there are some people (I'm one of them) that love him for his mysterious personality and his way of thinking that makes you confused and makes him even more mysterious

omgomgomg, when people paint Dazai as a bad guy for what he did to Akutagawa ISTG!!!1!1!!11! AKUTAGAWA DID THE SAME TO KYOUKA? LIKE THEYRE ALL VICTIMS HERE. OMFG. Dazai’s whole character is meant to show how people can be bad, but also do good. AND THESE AKUTAGAWA FANS JUST COMPLETELY FUCKING IGNORE THAT. sorry for the rant~

As a mentally ill 13yo, I agree. People should stop sending death threats to people they don’t agree with. It’s their own choice, and it doesn’t hurt you. And the people who hate on people who like characters like Mori and Naomi are unreasonable. It doesn’t matter if you personally don’t like them, but it also doesn’t matter if you do, so just leave everyone alone please. It’s okay to ship dazaku, it may be unhealthy, but it doesn’t hurt you in any way. They are fictional characters. It’s not that deep.

this is how i feel when ppl say atsushi would hate dazai for what he did too aku 😭 like he saw what akutagawa did to kyoka and still formed a partnership w him?? also atsushi knew dazai was akutagawa’s old mentor and also knew that the mafia is a toxic environment? so its not like he’d didnt have an IDEA✌️ especially after watching how he mentored kyoka he could probably assume how dazai mentored him…also atsushi knows that dazai is a changed man who was also the first person to show him kindnesss 😂

i swear sometimes i hate the bsd fandom, some of us gen don’t understand the whole point of bsd😭 they are all COMPLEX characters, they’re not represented in black and white, like so many animes, they’re are all morally grey, just like real people.
ntm some of us don’t have reading comprehension 🙏 that’s literally what bsd is all about, literature. It feels like media literacy is dead sometimes.
I guess it can’t be helped as so many ppl in the fandom r mentally ill 13yos who can’t grasp the concept of it all properly (ig? some surely do).
or the way some of us baby characters and don’t realise this anime is about MAFIA etc, and js completely ignore the complexity of all of these characters.
and I can’t stand personally those who spend their whole day hating on some characters, esp toxic stans, like, buddy I think u missed the point….
