The Apostle Paul was convinced that it was impossible to lose salvation for any reason in the future based off what he knew from the risen Christ and the scriptures.
Romans 8:38-39 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, NOR THINGS TO COME,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Paul understood just as we should understand that God has promised to keep us saved forever and our God the Almighty God cannot lie.
Hebrews 6:18 18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
John 6:47 47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
John 10:28 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
John 6:37-39 37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
Ephesians 1:13-14 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
Hebrews 10:10 10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Hebrews 10:14 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
1 Peter 1:5 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
