I recently got a hold of a 1984 JVC GR-C1U camcorder and luckily for me it powers on (connected to an AC Power Adapter) and shows picture through the viewfinder. I only have a few blank VHS-C tapes to record on, but I don’t want to run the risk of any mechanical damages. For now, I’ll be using a digitizer to record footage straight to a microSD card.
