Ok here me out. Cookie Monster the devourer a all consuming heast of gluttony and greed leaving nothing behind cookies were enough back then but he wanted more and more and more Elmo’s world was the only safe place a place he could not reach Elmo stayed there as Cookie Monster looked for its next meal. (Pls like took me forever and I suck at story telling I know)
