The problem is not that the console itself is 450$, the problem is the price of everything else 💀

It looks pretty good for a handheld, but it's definitely the game prices that will hurt this the most.

If the Switch 2 would actually cost 450 dollars outside the US, then absolutely. But to pay the equivalent to 600-700+ USD here in Europe, its not as enticing.

to be fair, if the marketing is the exact same as the Switch in 2017, i would say so

I feel the console's price itself makes more sense, it has more advanced technology and more computer power compared to the original Switch. It's more the game prices that's the problem.

Apparently they're selling it at near cost price of what it costs to make.

Value for money has never been a factor when it comes to video games. If you want that then wait patiently for the library to grow and buy it off eBay when the price drops. Not buying a Nintendo flagship is your loss, nobody else's 😂

Apparently it costs them 400$ to make each unit, so 450$ doesn’t seem unreasonable at all, especially when considering things like tariffs and the retailers taking their cuts.

The console price I don’t mind as much given the specs. My only hope is that it doesn’t run like garbage (i.e. surpass switch performance x2)

yea the problem is that 6 or 5 brand new AAA titles are going to be the same price of the console

$400 would be a bargain but $450 is a little higher than anticipated but fair.

I don't get why people were upset about the switch 2 being $450, like that's a completely reasonable price all things considered. The games though...

Game prices aside, is the Switch 2 worth $449.99 for what it offers? 🤔
