Rice and lentils. Cooking time for red lentils is the same as for rice. One measure of lentils to two measures of rice, let cook until done. Add a dash of sweet chili sauce if you have it. Gives you carbs and proteins all in one. For the de luxe version, fry up chopped onion in a generous amount of oil and add on top. Still among the cheapest nourishment you can find.

Chicken and rice. Cheap, healthy, & filling. Season it how you want and it can be a really diverse meal too.

Shin ramyun if i got the money or mi goreng noodles, with cheese, egg, cut up slices of frankfurters/hot dogs. Soy sauce and hot sauce added to boil process and dice up some habanero aswell if you like extra hot. Put it in a wrap or a sandwich if you need to fill your self up more. Usually 1-2 packs of noodles 2-4 soft-hard boiled eggs, 1-2 large Frankfurts or 2-4 minis, most of water removed. As much cheese as your heart desires. 2-4 habaneros

A Mexican dish called Picadillo. I start by cubing 2 potatoes and boil them for 8 minutes, strain and set aside. Finely chop 1 onion and 3 garlic cloves and add to a med-hot skillet with olive oil. Sautee for 3-5 minutes and add ground beef. Add salt, pepper, 2 to 3 heaping spoons of real salsa and about 1 and 1/2 cups of chicken stock, little chicken bullion to taste. Cook until the beef is browned, add in potatoes. Serve in a bowl topped with shredded cheese and a flour tortilla on the side.

Rice cake "pizza" Spread a savory sauce (I have used pesto, ajvar, or Indian red chili achaar) on a plain rice cake, then top with a slice of American cheese (or shredded cheese if that's what you have). Add toppings if you have them (I usually have green onions and bacon bits, sometimes also chopped mushrooms or bell peppers) and then microwave until the cheese melts. It's quick and very low effort, but also quite flavorful.

Definitely Arayes, however, I used to only make them by putting the plain beef into the pita, then grilling it. This recipe is a modified version of the Arayes that I used to make (and the much better version): - Onion - 2 cloves garlic - Cilantro - Beef mince - Pita bread - Desires seasonings - Optional Tahini sauce Grate the onion, cilantro, garlic together. Mix in with beef and spices. Stuff into pita bread, then grill. This literally got me through the nights where I couldn’t care enough to cook myself something extravagant.

My dad dubbed this the "low effort chebureck" which essentially is the same thing as the regular dish but you skip making the dough and just use tortillas. You get some mince meat, add some spices, add some minced onion and crumble in one or two stock jelly pots (our household uses knorr) for the soupy goodness. Shove a thin layer of the filling onto the tortilla, fold in half, use fork to press the edges closed and fry in a pan in like an inch or two of oil. My dad has always eyeballed this and it's always turned out good, you really can't go wrong. Ironically nothing beats hot tea and a chebureck in the middle of summer

protein pasta: low effort (for me) yet feels fancy: -veg ( I use tomatoes and onions) -protein ( I use salmon and steak, but any is good) -bacon (optional) -pasta (I use spaghetti cause that's what I have) -cheese -milk I cook the pasta by the side while in another pan, adding oil (or bacon) , cooking the veggies, and then adding meat later when the tomatoes and onions are almost done. Add in spices ( I use basil, salt, and pepper) and then add in milk. Drain the pasta and then add in the mix. Add cheese and stir till melted. After plating, you can add some more black pepper and then some parsely for "fanciness." Well done!
