Explorcation

Our video this week is from our time in the Dominican Republic and we are currently down in the Keys filming, but our hearts are in St Pete and the surrounding barrier islands that were devastated by Hurricane Helene a few days ago.

If you've been following the hurricane coverage then you have likely been inundated by all of the damage. It is quite overwhelming to see the destruction.

Honestly we considered pulling the video this week, because our hearts are so heavy for everyone who has been impacted. Ultimately we decided to let it go live, maybe it can provide some a break from all of the terrible news, if only for 20 mins.

We are anxious to get home to support and promote local businesses as they clean up, rebuild and reopen. We know our beach communities will come back even stronger!

After discovering Clearwater & St Pete earlier this year it has become our favourite trip destination from little old England! Absolutely heartbreaking to see the damage done by the hurricane and we wish everyone over there all the best in bringing the country back to its best. Our hearts go out to you all ❤️

Thankfully all of our friends have reported that they are physically okay. The damage reports range from minimal to off the chart...we've made some donations for helping out and our prayers continue. 🙏 Haven't had a chance to catch today's video yet but also looking forward to the Keys video(s)...,one of my favorite places

We've been thinking of you two and hope all is well where you live. We were notified that our place in Largo made it through the high winds, but some of our neighbors were not so well. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone and keep doing what you do. You bring joy to our lives. 🥰❤

We have already wondered how you are doing. We hope your home has remained dry. How long will it take until normality has returned at the barrier islands?

Hurricanes change the sea floor and end up doing a lot of good for the environment.
