Perhaps, retirement many of us are seeking is the freedom from doing a job just to earn the livelihood, freedom from doing something which we don't like. Once livelihood and other essentials of survial ( which are a little subjective) are secured, one will certainly engage in something which is beyond survival, be it listening jazz music sitting on the window all day or be it running a ambitious start-up, engaging in many new pursuits, people and skill–set, be it farming in the ancestral fields, or something alike. The retirement, sought, is not the retirement from the work. It is the retirement from unwanted work. I may be wrong and myopic, though.

I envy the retired old man. 😀 Leisure by William Henry Davies What is this life if, full of care, We have no time to stand and stare. No time to stand beneath the boughs And stare as long as sheep or cows. No time to see, when woods we pass, Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass. No time to see, in broad daylight, Streams full of stars, like skies at night. No time to turn at Beauty's glance, And watch her feet, how they can dance. No time to wait till her mouth can Enrich that smile her eyes began. A poor life this if, full of care, We have no time to stand and stare

Thats the Problem Mr. Rajan. Youngsters are facing this on severe level. Especially the umemployed youth which is not to able to engage itself in worthful activity like econimical activity is making them idle and find vices to engage, which is detoriating society as whole. Currently India as Country is also going from tough phase, with lowest Rupee value ever and inflation plus we have a pathetic leadership at top to make matters worst. The stakeholders of this country i.e. Citizens have to take up the charge uproot this tryranny and bring a stable governance whose sole aim is socialism and not only capitalism among themselves (Amit Shah's Son and their business Doval Son and their business, Gadkari and their Sons businesses) on taxpayers money.

Rajan Singh - HabitStrong Founder
Years ago, during my first startup, I took a shared office space in Bandra (Mumbai).
Every morning, on the way to work, I would see a retired-looking person (in his early sixties) idly sitting in his house by the window, with some jazz music playing in the background.
For one year, every single day, I would see him there. He never worked. He never read anything. He never did anything. He just sat.
In short, he was truly retired.
And I mention this because I see many youngsters craving early retirement. But is that what you really want?
I am positive that doing nothing for years would be worse than torture. Our mind needs engagement. It needs problems to solve, challenges to grapple with, and the highs and lows of daily life.
What you are looking for is not retirement, but meaningful work. You are looking for control over your time, good people to work with, and freedom from financial worries.
Retirement is just a dream solution our mind has conjured up to escape the drudgery of meaningless work.
Retirement is not the answer. The answer is to find a career that is meaningful and rewarding.
So experiment. Move away from what drains you. Move towards things that give you positive energy. Once you find such a thing, slog and become exceptional at it.
What you are looking for is mastery, control, and freedom, not retirement.
