How do I make grammar points stick after learning them in Genki and moving on to the next one? Is it just a case of more immersion? I find the content I read often doesn't contain the grammar points I need to practice more, but this could be because I'm still such a beginner in terms of reading 😅

The better at Japanese I get, the more questions I have that aren’t covered by textbooks and resources. At what point could one suggest a tutor? I am low intermediate.

First off, your videos have been the best thing to ever happen to my learning journey, so thank you for your hard work! I’ve gone through all of your Genki videos and even go to a tutor every other week. I’ve been doing this consistently for over 3 years now. But when I listen to shows (scripted or not), I still don’t understand over half of what’s said. It’s really disheartening. Is this normal? Any tips on getting the textbook and reality to coexist?

Around how many words before I start felling comfortable? I'm currently around 2,000 and it's a toss up of me keeping up or being stumped. Also how many kanji til I start being comfortable without furigana? Might be a bit broad, so let's just say comfortable enough to read a newspaper.

If I only have limited time to practice every day (say 1-2 hours), what do you think is a better use of time in terms of learning: 1. Splitting the time every day to practice a little bit of everything (listening, kanji, grammar & vocab) 2. Splitting the content by day to really hone in on one thing at a time (e.g. kanji and vocab on Monday, listening and grammar Tuesday, and so on)?
