This month ain’t even half way over yet and it feels like I’ve seen a whole year’s worth of events, ha. It’s got me thinking about life and what everything truly means in this world. I look around and I see so much hatred for our fellow man over the dumbest reasons imaginable. What you look like, what color your skin is, what political beliefs you hold, who you feel you are. The list goes on and on. It saddens me to see so much hatred, that so many people see those who are different to them as less than them. As less valuable. I hold the fundamental belief that all humans have value simply by virtue of existing on this planet. And perhaps I hold this belief because of my religious framework. Because I believe in a Living God, who sees not the outside of a man or woman, but their inner core. Their soul. Who you truly are, and who you SHOULD be. I long for a world that is unified under one belief. That our love for each other is paramount to everything else that we hold dear on this Earth. For if we live and we have no love, we are nothing. I suppose I’m seeing things from a different point of view now. Years ago, I may have not held these same beliefs, but now I do. I wish the world was different, sometimes I wish I could live in another, more perfect world. But before my God calls me home, I will continue to live and see though everything bad. And fulfill my purpose in this life. Whatever that may be.
