"For cash" threw me a little. With cash would be the wording. Sounds like a revenue, but the equipment is bought not sold. My luck is that I am an accountant. Tho in my country we have different system even if is double entry. I am following your channel because I want to study IFRS (international financial reporting standards) and the differences between charts of accounts.

Shouldn't be purchased 'with' cash?

I describe the word for to get the answer by saying f from the word for - r from the same word for or 7 - 5 is equal to the second option Debit Equipment, Credit Cash ❤

“For cash” made it sound like it should be revenue instead.

Genuinely curious, why would cash be credited if it’s being decreased? Wouldn’t the cash be debited from account since it’s making a purchase?

Please take a look at how you laid out your question. Isn't it supposed to say " if equipment is purchased ON cash "?
