ex. in most "past aftons react" videos, sometimes you get michael saying smth like "dad's a furry now lmao??" and hey man. The term "furry" started to take off in the mid 1980's, not in the early 1980's to 19070's(when the aftons should be coming from) ((though the idea of an anthropomorphic character has been in the modern for MUCH longer)). and while i cant get concrete info, furries weren't really mainstream until 1990, so. THIS ISNT AN ATTACK ON ANYONE BTW!!! i just find researching topics for silly gacha videos very interesting and important(i say, with my hetalia nerd cap on) it also makes these videos actually way more entertaining because you're doing something others aren't! and that's coming from a consumer's perspective!!
i remember watching some countryhuman video, and it went into vigorous detail of the history behind these reactions they were giving these characters and I just thought "omg this is so cool" and while i am a loser with low attention and didn't read a lot of it, it was inspiring to see someone put in that much effort for what really is such a small project! this is also not to say you need to read hours worth of research to make a good reaction video(especially if you dont have the time or just dont want to), but it really does make you stand out if you want to do something like that.
