My two kids (B., 12 years old, and G., 10 years old) were bored on Saturday night. They had already watched all the usual stuff and said, “Show us something extraordinary.” I thought to myself, “Challenge accepted,” and I showed them the Myth of Man. My son usually comments on every movie, but this time he was silent for the entire two hours. My daughter was quietly moved from the very beginning. She held my hand, and her touch spoke volumes — sometimes she gripped it, sometimes she was still, sometimes she gently caressed it. At the end, I heard my very rational-minded son crying. They were both deeply touched — one inwardly, one outwardly. My daughter said the godlike figure reminded her of the Hungarian folk character, the Garabonciás — “the wandering student.” They also noticed that many of the small props were Hungarian, and that some of the cast members were too. They felt proud. I felt proud. Very proud, every aspect. We are so proud of this film — and of you, Jamin and Kiowa. You are heroes: independent and free. Truly free souls, guiding lights for our generation and the ones to come. Thank you for this film, and wish you more films... for humanity, for us, for mankind.
