HOW did YOU like EPISODE 9 AND 10 of Fionna and Cake?

@TinyWolfGirl

Wish this was a full-on series of Simon discovering who be is and visiting Fionna. Telling Marceline how he feels, opening up to others, and figuring out who he is in the world of Ooo

My gripe is that they didn’t conclude every plot line they introduced. Like I liked the conclusions we got for Simon, Fiona and Cake but I felt like they could’ve given us more on what happened to worlds like FarmWorld, Winter King, among others. It felt rushed when I felt it didn’t need to be.

I think the take away for me based on people reactions is that they want way more adventure time stuff.

I’m just glad Baby Finn is ok

I felt in episode 10 they really dumbed down Simon for the Betty plot line. Like, he could have probably figured out what Betty was trying to tell him 2 minutes after opening the book. Maybe being inside the body of a child was affecting him in some way? But it felt out of character. Also, with access to Betty and a wishing crown, he could’ve just asked Betty to revert the crown the same way golb did and perhaps Simon could’ve actually saved Betty? Or at least opened up a portal so they can still see each other as Betty clearly can still understand him. Either that or simply use the crown to help fionna and cake in some other way. Overall I just feel it didn’t quite live up to everything set up with episode 8 and a lot of the plot lines weren’t given a super satisfying conclusion.

A lot of people are saying we need a second season, but while I do agree there are too many loose ends, I think everything could easily be wrapped up in a 30 min special bonus episode. Something like Distant Lands, only with Fionna and Cake. Plus, it would give Prismo’s original voice actor a chance to return, considering how he was wronged by his agent.

The main problem is they did to much for a show that was only 10 episodes. You got multiverses, Simon missing ice king, Simon missing Betty, the AU characters being turned normal. The ending does not feel like an ending.

episode 9 is the best episode of the entire show, it provides every new thing gathered from s10 of adventure time and turns all of it into an episode.

Could've benefitted from more episodes, a lot was crunched into that short timespan. The Casper and Nova allegory was confusing but cool once I got it, especially with them actually being created by Fionna and Cake's biggest fan. While the ending is satisfying on a surface level, there's still a fair amount of loose ends that I hope get addressed or subverted in a hypothetical second season. I still greatly enjoyed these episodes, even if I was hoping for a little more

It felt like the writers thought they were going to get 12 episodes but realized last-minute they only had 10.

Episode 9 and the Simon stuff of episode 10 was great. THe battle in fionnas would was strange, it was also weird to have some characters from the other worlds come to fionnas

I loved the show as a whole but the last episodes didn’t hit as hard, like Casper and Nova was very essential for their story but I couldn’t help but think “I do not care about future Ooo or this book” however I loved when it tied together with Betty and Simon. I also wish the Litch had more going on but he just died immediately

i think a lot of people dislike what they did with the lich but as i see it, it helps show how far beyond everything golb is without really hurting the lich that badly

I think it would have been interesting to see a conversation between Ice King and Simon

I hope they make a season 2. There's no way they can't, the first season was too phenomenal to not continue.

I enjoyed the final episodes more than the first ones, as it felt like the characters were more developed and the plot was finally where it was meant to be, rather than the intro episodes that were just introducing things.

I feel mixed again, like most people the ending felt sorta rushed, it felt like there was more going on that wasn't talked about but heavily emphasized. Then there was the ending with Betty and Simon, and the way they concluded their lines was more like they were admitting to no longer being in love by using the words "were", but I don't think that's quite right. After all, Betty is now a cosmic deity who's whole life purpose is to make sure Simon lives happy, and Simon still obviously deeply loves Betty. I feel like there's an ending there that felt like it fit the plotline more, or maybe it could've been wrapped up more neatly to make them accepting the situation feel more right.

What I don't get is why Farm World Fins son decided to just leave his world. If the Fin there is dead, he just left his younger sister there by herself....

All I'm gonna say is that: if it had been 12 episodes instead of ending at 10 , then it would've been perfectly paced
