I am really beginning to get SICK of this. Last night, YouTube removed offensive Discord Memes (I should have that solved by tonight), and they just removed Low Quality Bullcrap 3. The latter is due to “graphic videos promoting harm on animals” or something. Those who watched the video through, you tell me if you recall any animal abuse, because I don’t.
I appealed both of them, but so far my appeal success rate is 0%. Makes you wonder if the people at HQ are just flipping a coin and going “Oh, tails? Too bad, rejected lol”. I somehow keep landing on a tails.
I’m thinking of writing a complaint to YouTube, but that’s probably going to be as useful as a toy hammer. If I get one more takedown, it’ll probably result in a strike, and this channel is only 3 or 4 months old. And I BET there’s one more video YouTube is 5 minutes away from removing.
Remember, I make meme compilations because it’s a hobby. I just like memes. I have a month’s worth of content planned for August I’m excited to share with you wonderful people. I hope I don’t get shut down before then.
So far, YouTube’s bullsh!t censorship system is my mortal enemy, and is the only thing threatening the safety of my channel. If this channel gets deleted, count your losses that it’s because of the guidelines. CowOfTheSea and Meme Sheep are in a similar situation (though for the 🐑 I think its copyright).
By far the worst thing about this is that YouTube never specifies which sections are the problem. They do that for copyright, but they don’t for other infringements (for some f ing reason).
They leave you with a vague description of the problem, a deleted video with views and likes you’ll never get back and a mouth full of freshly-made crap.
Apart from that, there’s not much more I can do. I’ll pull out a suggestion list later, but for now, we all know YouTube likes crushing meme-lovers’ dreams.
It’s the curse of the meme channel😔
