The Farmer’s Wife

Hello Friends! I am thrilled at the response to my new video. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can check it out here:
https://youtu.be/QXw1LMPQ2vE

I was hoping that viewers would want a part 2, and I am delighted to have had so many requests!

I will be turning this into a series and doing many more videos like this. Probably about once a month.

As you may know, historical homemaking and recipes is one of my biggest passions, and so this is an exciting project for me.

I’d love to know your thoughts and ideas. What eras would you want to see more of? More world war and depression era? What about historical homemaking routines?

Leave me a comment down below!! ⬇️

Have a great day ☺️

I absolutely want to see more especially those centering around the depression. I believe these may prove to be the most relevant. Keep up the good work 👍

I would happily watch anything historical. Cooking and home keeping both. Anything up to and including the 70s would be great. I’m a 1975 baby.

Oh I love this! Any and all old fashioned tips on saving, thrifting, making do, etc. I think in the spring & summer it would be fun to explore the concept behind victory gardens and how women made the most out of every inch of space & seed planted. You are an inspiration to young women....and us "vintage models" are learning a few things too!! 😊

It was interesting that you did WWI. It was also interesting that you mentioned how you didn’t get hungry after eating those meals. We have been bombarded with so much information about dieting and food in modern times that it is hard not to get paranoid about what to eat. History is important.

I want all of the above listed. Those old ways need to be brought back and more people need to be exposed to them. Thankfully I grew up with a grandmother who still practiced those old ways and have incorporated many of them into my daily life. Yes, there is more work involved, but it is connecting and satisfying work. Thank you so much for being willing to do this. 😊

I’ve always been interested (ok, fascinated) with the food stamps that families were given during WWII and how women got creative to feed their families. I have one Depression Era recipe from my great grandmother, Doggie Stew, which I make around Halloween. No real dogs, just hot dogs! Keep up the great work; I love your channel! Hello from wild and wonderful West Virginia, USA🇺

So, I enjoyed your videos. Believe it or not, I knew my great grandfather who was in WW1. He was born in 1890. His son just passed this year at the age of 102. So I watched my Grandma's cook like this ❤
