Cleveland Street Preachers

If you can’t forgive, you’re not a Christian. "But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses," Matthew 6:15. You cannot want to be forgiven by God while you hold onto bitterness, resentment, hatred towards someone else. You cannot hold IOU's on people if you want God to erase the IOU you owe Him. The last parable in Matthew 18 shows someone was forgiven all their sins but continued displaying the same lack of grace towards others. God then took His forgiveness away and condemned the man.

The fruit of forgiveness will show in someone. The fruit of unforgiveness will also show.

The answer is forgive all people, confess your sins to God and ask for his forgiveness in Jesus name. Then do no harm love God, love people, follow the new testament.

Why don't you talk about protecting the flock from dangerous people who come into the church? Years ago in Australia a child rapist and murderer came into the church, likely feeling guilty, but this was during the time he had not been caught, and was trying to evade capture. It was quite a big police investigation at the time. He mixed with the congregation, and never ever confessed, nor expressed any public remorse. What he did to that poor kid was just vile and evil. Luckily several months down the track, he was arrested, and eventually sentenced to prison.

I forgave my family/friends for everything. However, does that mean I have to engage with them even when they're toxic. I can be cordial but do I have ro engage with them like call, hang out, etc? It's like every time I try It's overwhelming in a negative way that sometimes lingers for days. I prayed about it. Pastor Joseph, may you please help me with this?

Do you think forgiveness is instant or a process?

The Apostles were looking for deliverance from the unreasonable and the evil. They didn't seek forgiveness, they wanted deliverance. Don't cast your pearls before swine.

Then how in the HELL ! Will someone be satisfied? that the individuals who WRONGED them! Be willing to forgive them of their trespasses etc - it has nothing to do with blaming GOD !! When we are WRONG OR VIOLATED by others it really does NOT Solve anything!! OK 😕🥺😰😰😰🤦🏻‍

What if someone doesn’t forgive ? Are you suggesting they lose their salvation?
