Everyday Astronaut

I've been working on my most animation heavy video ever and it's been a huge challenge, but it's been a lot of fun to learn new tricks in Adobe After Effects and working closely with other 3D animators to make what's going to be a very fun video. Hoping to have it out next week, so stay tuned!!!

@goonyhill1857

So the Everyday Astronaut got me back interested in space after a gap since the early 1970s, I now follow so many space channels that I get confused, but I so remember listening to the radio whilst on the Czech German border at 9 years old saying “one small step for man….”. I just wish you could have gone around the moon. I built the model kit of Saturn 5 and it stood proudly for many years in my bedroom. So many years following you, but your enthusiasm always makes me happy. Best wishes 😊

Man, Tim and the crew casually pumping out full length documentaries worthy of Netflix, the best rocket launch coverage, baller merch, and the best space awards conference on the planet like it's a Tuesday. (Can't wait to see you at AstroAwards 2026!)

your stuff is fantastic from every perspective! Can't wait. If I can, here's a very quick question for you. I recently heard people talking about alternate methods to get folks to the moon and back and a couple involving crew dragon. All plans have complications and challenges, but one for the crew dragon was that its heat shield would need upgrading because its return speed into the atmosphere would be higher than from LEO. My first thought was - couldn't the launch abort system rockets be fired to slow the capsule so its atmospheric journey is more comparable to the LEO entry it was designed for. These rockets, their fuel etc are carried along on the entire journey (since not used in the event of a successful launch), so their dead weight could suddenly be useful, they're throttleable and pointed the right way too. All thoughts/comments very welcome.

Tim, the man, the Myth, The Legend. I’m so excited for this upcoming video, if it’s like any video you have made, quite frankly they are all amazing, then it will surely be a treat. I especially love the videos that are extremely in depth! (And ones that have SLS in it I love SLS)
