Is a 4070ti Mid Range or High End?

@PanaehaliTut

Midrange. But at a high-end price. It has higher MSRP than a legendary 1080ti.

I’d say in between mid and high end since 3090s still doing work and 4070 TI is pretty similar to it except without all the VRAM and has the new 40 series dual encoders for AV1 and DLSS 3.

I think there are a few ways to look at it. 1) comparing only the current Gen GPUs. 2) In comparison to all GPUs. 3) the over all PC build and its performance. I think the answer would differ in each comparison. I would say top of the mid range for this gen. High end when compared to all gens and probably high end for the PC build in general considering the work loads its capable of. It also depends on what is defined as low end, integrated graphics? in my head I have a 7900xt and i consider it high end.

I called my Velka 3 (13700K/3060TI) entry level online on a gaming forum and people lost their sh*t.

When I think of a mid range pc, I think of a pc the average gamer can afford. So for me, mid range doesn’t go higher than a 4060. That being said, I don’t really consider any of the 4070’s truly high end.

@guille92h

@waferbarr

It should be midrange but by price alone it's high end

@Video2014s

The only high end are 4090 - 7900xtx. Ignoring the price tho

@JoeWayne84

If you look at what the majority of DGPU PC gamers use from steam survey a 3080 is still high end … And a 4070super is basically a 3080ti A 4070ti is basically a 3090ti So even though it is the newest 70ti series it’s considered a high end GPU as far as actual gaming performance… Of course there is always top of the line and for that there is only one answer the 4090… if you want the best you got to pay for it… but the way the 70 series is now actual 4k cards and easily run 1440p GPUs are dead basically till we get 4090 or better performance no need to think to much about it.

Like the GTX 1070, it's somewhere in-between. Like techpowerup used to say of the GTX 1070, it's a performance class card. I do not consider the 4070ti to be a high end card, but its a step beyond mid-range

Mid-range performance and mid-range price. Some people want products to be priced like two decades ago.

@Mojtab999

Something in between

Depends on which way you look at it. I'd Call it upper mid range of the latest generation but realistically 4070ti is a high end card compared to the rest of the market and of what everyone else has. Most people aren't running the latest stuff. Say like a 13/14700k or Ryzen 7/9 with a 4070ti is a high end system right now but not what we would call top of the line or ultra high end.

It’s midrange, the price is High End. I want to compete in 4k 240hz lol When the cards can do that comfortably on max settings with RTX then it’s high end 🤣. Anything below that is midrange

Trick question on the poll. High end cost, mid range performance
