Studio 31 once again apologizes to you for this hiatus that has been imposed on us but I promise you this is necessary for me. We'll continue to provide periodic updates about what's next, and some original content in the meantime, so please stick with us the next months as we work to regain your trust.
Some of you have asked where you can see the lost videos. I am working on something and reveal more when I'm ready. Studio 31 acknowledges the companies' abilities to remove content for any reason and realizes the amount of content we were using (full shows versus just small snippets like opens/promos, etc) was likely the reason for this. There could also have been some things I have said in my analysis about stations that might have rubbed people the wrong way. Moving forward, I will no longer be providing analysis about any station in my descriptions. On the positive side, this will ensure much faster turnaround for new uploads in 2024, both sticking with short clips as well as no longer providing commentary, unless it is positive. We'll also be avoiding any content from KTUU or Cox Media Group moving forward on any affiliated channel.
While we don't agree with all of this, this is above my level to deal with and these changes are needed to ensure the long-term sustainability of the important work we do, at least here on the YouTube platform. This platform has allowed me to build a successful brand in the niche of media archiving and I would like to continue this important work for years to come.
All I've ever wanted to do was archive media, something I've been passionate about since I was young. Hopefully with some hard lessons learned the past couple weeks, and some valuable ones too, I can re-emerge in three to four months with a much improved product and user experience for you all.
Once more, I greatly apologize to anyone who had seen our original video. If we ever cast the industry in a bad light, I am sorry. That was never my goal. The broadcast journalism industry, while it is a rapidly evolving one, is one which does important work every day, and it was never my intention to do anything that would hurt it or myself. One of the major tenets of journalism is to "minimize harm" and I failed in that pursuit big time. I promise to, and will, do better moving forward. You have my word on it.
IN THE MEANTIME... I'm not alone in this journey. If you enjoy my content, I suggest the following:
SUBSCRIBE to the Forward Broadcast Archive which will continue our important mission during this hiatus: @ForwardBroadcastArchive
You can also check out the Rewind Broadcast Archive at @31Rewind which will continue documenting past television marvels.
JOIN the Broadcast Plaza Discord server at discord.gg/broadcastplaza/ ! This is the #1 broadcast server devoted to discussing all things news media and beyond. And as of this week, it is the only INDEPENDENT server devoted to broadcast media run by my good friends. I will vouch for the two who run it, as they are two of my closest friends and really had my back when I needed it. This is a great, toxic-free server where we all just have a great time and talk about the news about the news.
While we're talking about BP, S31MA, 31 Rewind, BB, and Forward are all PROUD BP server partners, which means that we will promote the server as well as provide content to them.
The following are other BP server partners. Not only should you check them out, but you should watch them as they are all QUALITY (no Bandicam) channels doing similar types of videos to here and will help fill the void while S31MA takes some time off:
If you made it this far, THANK YOU for sticking by me during this time. I've been going through a lot, as I detailed in my most recent video. Your support and continued viewing when I return sometime in 2024 will mean a lot to me!
Until next time, take care of yourself and each other!
