I know physics has the highest percentage as I type, but I think your coverage of physics and space exploration is ample now. I really like that NS covers the range of sciences, social as well as physical. Keep up the good work.

All are fascinating so I am very sure any of the topics will make for inforgettableprograms. Thank you for providing science in an age of banal fluff

I'd like to see episodes that explores potential outcomes of physics/quantum physics that follow the idea of atomism, or reductionism and other theories... From large scale planets made of different elements floating in something similar to the way cells float within the fluids of our bodies or particles float in the air... What could it mean if we are a functional aspect of a grand complex system? Would it matter how we care for ourselves or our planet? Could we become cancerous the way a tiny cell within our body can spread and negatively affect our entire system?.. it's potentially an idea on the edge of existentialism, I admit... But it fascinates me to explore ideas and topics that tip toe outside the bounds of "fact"... Perhaps if we did so more often we would stumble across more of them, the way every great scientific discovery has been stumbled across.. I'm sure the man trying to create light without a wick sounded crazy as he explored beyond fact, before lightbulbs 😅 exploring theories based on facts and the knowledge of the unknown or almost known is intriguing... Anything that rides that line would keep my attention. A series of "what if's" would be perfect

I really like all of your topics, and have enjoyed being a regular reader, with still a few back issues in the stash, I only stopped buying them when I found that my smartphone had usually already given me all the stories, so that by the time I got ready to read, either with a pint, or tucked on the couch at home, there was little new information to look forward to. The becoming human series is a great go to, but I would also enjoy an expansion on the story that managed to model the connection between all globally registered businesses and the few controlling parent companies.

Environmental science please!

Science isn't just one topic. Imagine having to read only romance novels when you are really into science fiction. New Scientist delivers NEW ideas to us all that we may not have looked into prior, but are fascinated by anyway.

I chose biology but my favorite episode was environment

Ideally all of them with immersive documentary depicting how related branches of science shape the emergence of life including unsuccessful evolutionary pathways, and what curtailed them. Also in light of synthetic biology how to avoid failures so as to achieve meaningful success stories in a futuristic way. All the best. Godspeed.👍

Human evolution, but if I could choose two, physics would be my other choice.

Instead of mixing our poo with clean water and bleach, would it be a better idea if our toilets evolved into an automatic bagging system .if we made the biodegradable bag 'nice' for worms we could solve quite a few or our 'problems '.
