A friend of mine, Emi had asked me to draw a "shortstack Azumarill" when she was inspired to draw one herself. Trying to break out of art block, I reluctantly agreed to it. The result was me finally getting to break out of that art block in addition to having a new OC that I can project into. I'm starting to notice that my art block comes in periods... ...Either way! This is Marise Chung (Han Shui)! The second generation of a Chinese immigrant family living in (god knows where, I have 0 clue). She's a below average height Azumarill girl (about 5'4/ 164 cm), 22 years old (may change in the future). She's in the same shared universe as my other OCs. One gimmick for her that I set is that she likes either baggy, loose, breezy, or "breatheable" clothing and will hate anything that is too tight or not tailor-made for her, and a lot of her fashion sense is practically non-existent. Never stopped her from being silly, though. Personality wise, she's bubbly (to a fault). She loves gaming but is particularly a Mario nerd. I didn't think about her being a Pokemon nerd since 1. I am basically a tourist of the franchise and 2. her being obsessed with Pokemon would basically make her an anthropologist, so I gave her something more simple to obsess over.

She's so adorable!!! It's so weird seeing her again from Bluesky. I didn't realise the connection between you and Emi
