What happened is that 99% of people didn't care. About 99% of those people also don't want to take it away from the people who do use it, so please ask Bungie what their motivation for this is.

I like adding notswap because the game's intentional downsides are being ignored since you can swap away from them. For example running Skullfort gives you survivability at the cost of damage, but it's so common to swap to Cuirass when damage begins which completely negates that cost.

I think the two biggest things I like about noswap is that your dps entirely depends on your inventory load times. Sometimes it loads instantly, but others it takes like 30 seconds for me. The other thing is a lot of the time for the most optional dps you have to use a loadout slot for it and I personally would rather use my loadout slots for things I'll actually use in neutral and also frequently rather than as a one time setup for an extra 30k damage on a single boss

It’s still an issue but I reckon most people have said what they thought needed to be said for the time being.

i think the sentiment is just dying as a whole. people care mostly only to drag on the game, then when that isn’t tolerated or reciprocated, we all just take a collective step away (just like w/ each season/episode how some of us get bored & don’t return til the end) i’m sure we’ll here the debate come back in Act III. Watch MyNameIsSys most recent video. Makes some good points

I don't use Twitter but saw the Datto video, for me if is not obligatory to 2 fase a boss in lfg I don't care. I personally don't use the tech but is good to know that if I want to improve I can do extra steps.

I think it qill only become a problem once tehy star balancing stuff around it, w ppl changing to the most optimal setup at a certain moment. I never was a fan of it, and was glad they added it into comp and Trials

Cause it was fucking stupid it was the top 1% complaining the game was to easy by abusing a system and for some reason they wanted bungie to remove it instead of……..just not using it?

you can do 100% of the content without, and i dont like menuing while fighting, so i dont. being 20k off in dps against same loadout +swaps isnt hurting my feelings and i sleep well at night. Idc what everyone else does but i imagine its a balance thing if bungie wants to do something with it. im willing to bet only the neverplay alwayscomplain folks made up a lot of the twitter meltdown. Hearthstone has the same problem. Folks that havent played in years clog up discussions with "Lol classic blizz doing xyz, how shitty, when i last played in 2018..."

Whatever happened to the whole noswap fiasco? Twitter had a meltdown for a few days and I've seen nothing since
