Posting this month! Coming up: The Desire to Be Sad

@Wintertoes

I attempted suicide back in November and have been in a healing process since. I wish I had found your videos before I attempted. You have spoken to my soul unlike any other philosopher or youtuber I've seen, or person I've spoken to in my life. You can get rid of the "in progress" from the "Philosopher in progress" of your bio. You don't need to prove yourself to the world. You are saving it, one video at a time. You are good enough, buddy. Thank you. I love you brother.

Really great topic to cover on! I seldom felt this desire to feel melancolic or just plain sad sometimes and didn't knew how to describe it, glad for it to be a universal experience

That concept is totally alien to me. I've been so sad the majority of my life, I could never imagine wanting it. I def need to know why anyone would find something so horrible to be desirable

For some people, being sad is all they have known for long periods of time, I personally feel like trash right now and even though it hurts, its what I know and its what Im familiar with, in a sense its comfortable because i know it will hurt as opposed to not knowing and not getting hurt, aside from this I would say i dont feel too much from other things but feeling this sadness gives me an outlet, even though it hurts and i feel like garbage during and after, i cant explain it but when something has stung for so long whether it be love,tragedy, trauma, i go back to it not because i like it but maybe because of what was before it, possibly that love or that purity. and without even thinking about it repeat the cycle because im familiar with it or them.

YESS!! A NEW VIDEO! ❤️ Thank you so much for making content, Clark. Your content got me through some hard times. I'd love to support your channel more, but the only thing I can do currently is to rewatch and relisten to your videos. I hope in the future i would be a part of your Patreon.

The desire to be sad sounds like artist trying to channel heavy emotions into their work.

This is interesting, I sometimes find myself doing certain stuff just to place me in a sad or difficult position to then cry and feel relieved and act like nothing happened dont really know if it has to do anything with this topic but yea. I literally sometimes want to feel sad based on my actions
