Hypothetical: kier starmer does get persuaded to resign based on whatever factors, but let's say it happens, could starmer make Andy Burnham a member of the house of lords, and then Andy becomes Prime Minister?

Given the spectator used to be a political magazine of the left and imo after the resignations of some of the heavy hitters like Fraser Nelson, Katy Balls, Andrew Neil and Cindy Yu. It almost seems like the spectator has lost its way under micheal grove of its ability to remain nuanced and as critical as it once was, what will keep the new statesman from doing the same.

Japan Debt to GDP Ratio 230% Singapore 130% UK 100%. Why is the Government frightened to increase borrowing by 1.5% as Burnham suggests? Only one and a half per cent.

Will Trump follow through on threats to cutting UN funding, given the amount of soft power it gives the U.S. and how China would be more then happy to pony up their funding for the soft power the main funder of the UN holds and dictating to some degree the direction of the UN?

Are we heading towards proportional representation? With parties and/or electoral bases splintering (tory voters to reform or labour voters to green or “Your Party” - if the latter ever comes to fruition…), it seems we are moving into an era beyond two parties dominating and where proportional representation seems to make more sense. Similar to models of our European counterparts. Ps. Love your podcast/show - thanks for continuing to offer good journalism in an era where that seems to be becoming less and less common…)

Unlike the universal model adopted across the rest of Europe, Britain maintains a punitive and residual welfare system. So why does the media keep portraying it as both enviable and unsustainable?

(Australian here) Are there two tiers within Cabinet, with one being a smaller executive council that is bound to collective responsibility + secrecy (can't say who said what during the inner circle meeting), and the other having a much larger table? If so, are they both comprised of ministers or nah? Are there too many ministers, too few, or about the right amount? In the corporate world I like the idea of larger boards, but the research suggests smaller boards outperform larger ones.

Why do you still believe in an unelected monarchy after so much dystopia and corruption within it? - The U.S.

Why do we have private money going into politics? Shouldn't there be a cap in terms of maximum amount an individual (or company) and their other business/charitable interests can donate to a single political party or politician?

Why does it seem as though the general public, and the media, seem incapable of understanding that Labour has only been in power for a year and turning around a decade of Tory misrule takes time? Also, why are the media, seemingly successfully, drawing an equivalence between Angela Reignor's issues, where she was found to have acted honestly but perhaps not as well as she should have, and the incredible amounts of Tory sleaze where the exact opposite was found to be true?

Wow questions???? Unbelievable. In that case then unless you have fallen asleep... you can take this video on YouTube x-Tcd0qbI7k and unless you are really clueless about to totally illegal activities that governments are encouraging in their revolution... My question is are you going to continue to ignore it and ignorance and denial?? And go along with what these governments have done to the democracy processes?
