For those of you still using Windows 10 — which, based on my recent poll, is still a considerable number — do you plan to upgrade to Windows 11 once official support ends in October 2025? Or do you intend to continue using Windows 10 beyond that point?

I'm gonna keep using Windows 10 until I buy a new PC. While this one lasts, it's gonna be stuck on 10 no matter how much Microsoft spams me to downgrade, I mean, upgrade.

The author is apparently unaware that Windows 10 LTSC IoT exists with support until 2032. And no, I'm not going to switch to Windows 11 because of its unfamiliar interface. I spent years getting used to Windows 7 and easily transitioned to Windows 10. In between, Microsoft wanted to retrain me on Windows 8 without a Start menu or on Windows 11 with its clunky interface. I don't want to spend more time than necessary on simple and familiar tasks. The sad part is that Windows 12 won't be any better, and it looks like my next system after Windows 10 will be Linux. But as long as FPS in games is identical between Windows 10 and 11, there's no point in switching yet.

This Windows 10 vs 11 dilemma is like Windows 7 vs 8 vs 8.1 Do you know what do they have in common? Win 7 8 8.1 have same DirectX 11 at max support. And you surely remember what people did, they never installed Windows 8 or 8.1 because everything can be done on 7. And most people skip from 7 Straight to 10. Windows 10 22H2 vs 11 24H2 have same DirectX 12 Ultimate DxR. I won't be using Windows 11 at least until DirectX 13 came out (yes Microsoft is in the work for DirectX 13) And when DirectX 13 came out, it is most likely not supported by RTX 5090 6090, so I will go straight to RTX 7090. Also Windows 12 In other words, this is Windows 7 vs 8 all over again. History repeating itself.
