I walk 10K steps daily wearing a 10--20 pound weighted vest while listening to audiobooks! Absolutely loving it. 🎉

I’ve seen researchers say that “Asian walking” for 30 minutes a day is much more productive than 10,000 steps. Essentially you walk normal for three minutes, then walk very quickly for three minutes, then walk normal for three minutes,… Etc. You do this for 30 minutes every day and you get so much more benefit than 10,000 steps.

At 67, I do a 60 minute walk 3-4 days per week. When I don't walk, I pick up light weights in the morning.

I walked to the pizza joint last night! Seriously, thank you for this solid advice. It’s a perfect day for a walk!

My walk to and from work is 25 minutes each way, and I often extend it or go for another walk after dinner. 12k steps or more on workdays, about 20k on weekends. Accompanied by music, audiobooks, language immersion, podcasts, or just the sounds of the town. Can't live without regular walks!

As much as I would love to not have to work, one of the benefits of my job is that I get to walk 13-20k steps a day outside.

30 mins - fat burning begins. Well since fat loss is calories in calories out than logically you could walk for less than 30 mins and burn enough calories to lose fat if its part of your overall plan

And the biggest lesson I learned, was to not walk through sick csncer cells so much, They'll get you on your walk. If the body is already in decline, go to use proper facilities a walking machine.

10K steps per day was simply made up by a Japanese apanese company to sell their pedometers. No scientific basis to it at all.

Walking is one of the most underrated yet profoundly impactful things you can do for your health. Love this post by @ tjpower on IG🚶🏼
Here's what happens when you make walking a daily habit: Your cardiovascular system gets stronger, blood pressure drops, and circulation improves. Blood sugar stabilizes, especially after meals.
It also works wonders for your brain and mood. Walking lowers cortisol, boosts dopamine and endorphins, sharpens focus, sparks creativity, and even helps prevent cognitive decline.
And when you take your walk outside, the benefits multiply—lower stress, better sleep, and a deeper sense of connection to nature.
Aim for 30 minutes a day and mix it up - brisk walks for your heart, post-meal walks for blood sugar, or nature walks for stress relief. Which one will you do today?
