My 5 year old precious, wise, and caring daughter and I — here we are out in the woods talking about life as physical and energetic beings, and what it means to show up and live with purpose. She is the one that started the conversation by asking deep questions about our existence. I reply her like she is a conscious adult that fully understands what I am sharing. Even though she cannot understand every word and concept on a logical level yet, I know that she gets it on a deeper level. I ask her questions back to listen to her own thoughts about the things she asks about. And I emphasize that I don’t know everything — I am still learning myself. Thinking one knows everything about a subject is a trap; it shuts down our willingness and openness to learn and continue evolving as human beings and souls.

When I said it was time to leave she replied “no dad, I want to talk some more.” I suspect that this wasn't due to the conversation itself, but rather that she loved the attention she got when I was 100% present with her. It’s not always easy for me to be present like this, because I am usually busy with my mission: creating content, writing, reading, researching, and working out. Today I thank my daughter for teaching me the value of presence and focused attention. Unconditional presence and attention is Love. ❤️
