I know its not intentional, but this is turning into a pretty compelling reason to pull the trigger on that nebula subscription

They’re copyright-striking free advertising for their best movie in a long time lmaoooo

You can tell that whoever is in charge of copyright strikes is clueless. It’s like saying “no, your book club can NOT discuss our novel.”

This video is gaining mythic status at this point.

Wait. Why does the film production company get to decide if it's a valid claim or not? They have a pretty strong bias in the situation.

this is so totally crazy to me bc i watched like 3-5 reactions to the movie Sinners (out of dozens) that were just edited reproductions of the entire movie Sinners from beginning to end, so I knew the plot, the characters, the most impactful scenes, etc. and all of that went up and made people money. But a critical examination of themes in the movie Sinners that is not in any way a reproduction or replacement for seeing the film, a fully transformative work, and they try to pull this

Youtube is probably the most popular thing that's an example to me of why monopolies are bad

To those considering, I have watched it on Nebula and it's worth subscribing to to watch these types of videos the way they were intended

I love the wording of that. It's not YouTube that decides, not a 3rd party, or legal advisor, no the company that put the claim on the video, they get to decide.

Good news/bad news.
Bad news is Warner for some reason rejected my copyright dispute which is suprising cause that's pretty rare and baseless.
The good news is this means they have to respond to my appeal in 7 days. Normally depending on the company the first dispute can drag on for a month but since they were so quick to reject it puts them on a short timeline.
No one ever rejects a fair appeal. It literally requires legal paperwork so the likelihood of them rejecting is super low. Ive had it happen 1 time in hundreds of videos and it was the NFL and lowkey I was in the wrong. So this video SHOULD be available by next Saturday at the latest (though i will probably hold it til the following Monday).
Because of this committing to put out this version of the video now that i pretty much know when this will all be settled. It's gonna throw off Christmas a bit but ill be ok. If you really want to see it early feel free to head to Nebula but i am tentatively promising that YouTube will get the uncut version of this video im the next 7-10 days.
