I lowkey just clocked this but Maki is actually fully a murderer like tf you mean she was going out of her way to hunt down ngas who had nothing to do with her and Mai😭. And the scene with her mother is way more gruesome in retrospect. Kinda funny how I never picked up on this the first time I read it.
