Even when giving credit, you also have to make it different. Crediting is good, but your basically still stealing if you don't ADD something. Edit it, dub over it, reanimate it, whatever. Just make it different, creators.

RIGHT thank you for saying this im ashamed to admit i used to do this in my baby years of the internet [like...six or seven years ago] but as someone who wants to be a full time artist in the future, i pretty much immediately learned to NOT do this, why its important not to do this, and that it doesn't take less than five minutes to find the original artist. it's not hard, people! do better!

THISSS OMLL "found this art!! Thought it looked cool" sounds innocent enough until you want to see more of it and you don't see credit anywhere. Atp you have to do literal scavenger hunts to find the actual art bc it's been duetted, stolen, shoved into tiktok comps and ai generators too many times to count. Start giving credit.
