Fighting games. I'm generally pretty useless at them but they instantly remind me of Saturday mornings back with my school friends as we all went to the arcade. The local Laser Quest arena had cabinets for Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Killer Instinct, Soul Caliber and Mortal Kombat 2. I have no desire to learn about frame data and extensive combos but they just trigger a certain memory about those times for me.

Love certain fighting games, especially the subgenre of fighters that revolve around weapons, like Soul Calibur. It's been a blast rediscovering Soul Calibur 2 on the Switch 2!

There's something about fighting games that appeals to me beyond all logic and reason. I'm not terribly good at them. I'm not someone at all interested in competitive gaming. I'm not even that big on multiplayer games. Yet for whatever reason, there's just some kind of special quality about 2D fighting games like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat that I find fun and fascinating.

Adventure Games (point and click and/or walking sims). I adore them. I had to use a walk through for RIVEN, but I loved every second of it.
