✨ Update! ✨ I didn’t end up filming a vlog, but oh my gosh was SO fun!
We got to the show early and were in line by 8:30 AM. It didn’t even start until 10, and even then we still waited almost three hours after it opened… but being in the first 100 was totally worth it because we got the cutest ball python pin with a Santa hat! We also stopped by the USARK table — they’re fighting for our rights to keep reptiles, so definitely support them if you can. Their pin this year was sponsored by Snake Discovery, so it has Rex on it!
This was my third year going, and every year is different, but every year is amazing.
And then… the best part. 😭💛 While looking at the adoptable animals, I saw Baguette — and he was just PERFECT. I had to get him. I’m thinking about changing his name to Bagel, but nothing’s official yet.
We checked out cages next and looked at three different enclosures — a 120-gallon for my bearded dragon and a 90-gallon for the new leopard gecko. We ended up getting two really cool ones that stack together perfectly. I’m obsessed with them already.
Also grabbed a ton of feeder insects, a few plants, new UVB and heating, and other reptile-care stuff. It was SUCH a good haul. See you next year, NARBC!
And for anyone doing online ribbon challenges — same!! My first two ribbons with Big Sur are finally here. I’m thinking about doing a ribbon display on the wall above my hedgehog cage since it’s a big blank
