One trick though is to always tell them to ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐›๐ฅ๐ž ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฆ๐ž๐š๐ญ which usually adds on $3-4 to your order.โฃ

For a specific recommendation: I found that El Pollo Loco has a โ€œDouble Chicken Bowlโ€ which has ๐Ÿ–๐Ÿ–๐  of protein for around $11 which is actually really good considering itโ€™s not fried and the rest of the ingredients are generally very good (avocado, beans, etc). The sodium is obviously high (itโ€™s still fast food), so itโ€™s not โ€œhealthyโ€ but it IS healthier than most other options. โฃ

By the way, this post was not sponsored by El Pollo Loco. ๐Ÿคฃโฃ

โฃNow Iโ€™d love to know, what is ๐˜๐Ž๐”๐‘ go-to high-protein meal when you canโ€™t cook at home?
