I have so much respect for the compassionate, uncompromising way she stands up for women. She clearly didn't do it for negative narcissistic supply, she thinks through her beliefs very carefully. And her books show without a doubt someone with a great degree of empathy and emotional literacy.

I never understood the backlash she got. I never once hated her or saw her in a different light. She created a masterpiece that made me love reading again.

I think Normal, but I wouldn't be too surprised to learn she's an Empath.

She’s a wealthy woman who is for WOMEN. I deeply admire her for that. She doesn’t allow anybody to gaslight or bully her either.

I love her. She is a woman's woman. Boldly holding her space. Be like JK Rowling.

I know people will not like this answer but at 65 I admire her for standing up for what she believes.. which btw 8 or less years ago 99% of people would agree with her!! 😊

I think she’s a standard empath, primarily from the carrier cadre (minority savior type). She has a strong sense of responsibility and duty, and she’s very grounded - especially evident in how she handled adversity while raising her daughter. She displays more empathy than most people because she genuinely cares about others, sometimes to her own detriment. She could easily live a comfortable life, enjoying her wealth without facing any backlash for speaking out. But she chooses to speak up because she stands by her values and believes she’s making a difference for others. I think a normal person, wouldn't bother so much about "changing the world". This is just my impression of her. If she were a narcissist or even narcissistic we’d likely see much more vanity and self-aggrandizement. There are far more effective ways to gain public approval and attention. I think the fact that she repeatedly stands by her beliefs despite the backlash actually works against her in many ways. I can’t imagine a narcissist with that much power willingly choosing to endure such criticism just to receive negative attention. If that were her goal, she could easily use her extensive network to gain admiration in a far more efficient and controlled way. It’s also clear to me that she doesn’t engage in controversy for the sake of it. She’s usually quite reasonable and takes time to justify her beliefs, which makes her different than people who thrive on conflict for attention. Again, with her extensive network, if she wanted attention, she'd get it in more effective ways, keeping her façade intact.

JK Rowling is a Normal. I came to this conclusion after the fourth video. With the information of her experiences and behaviors mentioned in the first three videos, combined with the relationship history told in the fourth video of how she only had two relationships in her adulthood after college. That she married both men and was able to make the logical decision to leave her first husband after a year or so of attempts to make it work, in turn prioritizing her and their daughter's mental & physical health before her abusive ex- husband, didn't immediately jump into another relationship after she left her first husband, and then married her next husband, who she's been married to for over 20 years while being mindful to keep a certain privacy to the intimate parts of their relationship and are respectful to each other's emotions making each other openly aware of the love they still have for each other in present time.

I haven’t listened to this series yet but all signs point to normal to me. She used to be a little woke for my tastes, but I think she’s really evolved. Super smart, reasoned and considered. Narc traits are that she likes to argue and bite back, but I think she has a sincere passion for protecting women. It’s appalling how she’s been maligned for that

She strikes me as nothing more than an ordinary, pragmatic human being with an extraordinary imagination.

I would find it hard to call her a narcissist/ narcissistic. Her books have empathy. Her characters are well rounded even with faults. She can demonstrate deep feelings regarding character definition. There are no greys, light, or dark. The characters step off the pages in full colour. I wouldn't call her normal, not with the talents she has, plus the grit and hard work it took for her to get where she is now. She is very generous with her time and money without drawing attention to it. I would class her as empathetic due to the fact she feels things deeply, which again comes out in her characters. She has stood her ground regarding the gender identity chaos and did it in the face of a great amount of rejection and opposition. She has shown spirit and a great deal of courage.
