My family loves DragonBall Super. It was a dream come true for Me when it came out & extended the DBZ story. I see some fans didn’t like it but I think it’s just as good as DBZ but in a more comical, fun, & edited style. And we really like Beerus & Whis. I waited so long for the dub for Daima that I forgot to watch it while we moved to a better county 👍 I’m looking forward to watching it. Thanks for the reminder & thanks for extending the fandom

I hate how much Daima is unappreciated, it’s honestly my fav considering how short it was

Characters grew in GT. It had its problems but the writers took risk. Where as everyone were the same in Super some even degraded into jokes. GT hands down is a better a continuation despite the flaws.

Hear me out gt is overhated it's probably my 2nd favorite series out of all of them (Z being no. 1)

I didn't like Super at all, and haven't seen Daima yet. So I voted GT because of the awesome SSJ4 transformation and the music intro. DB and DBZ are still unbeatable.

The manga for super is easily the best sequel but gt is finished and has amazing ideas Daima well we don’t talk about Daima. It has a cool ssj4 and we got ssj3 vegeta finally but other than the fantastic animation lore and transformations it’s just ok…

Here's my opinion on Daima, GT, and Super, since I've watched/rewached then in the past few months. Daima: Personally, I'd say Daima was the best of the three. I wasn’t the biggest fan of it overall, to be honest, and Goku's personally was anoying, he was never this obnoxious in OG Dragon Ball, but at least it was short, featured great animation, and had consistently impressive artwork throughout. I didn’t like how SSJ4 was introduced, and I wasn’t into Goma either. On top of that, I honestly can't remember a single track from the soundtrack. But overall, it delivered well visually. Super: Oh, Super... I have quite a bit of mixed feelings about it. Battle of Gods was great fun; I absolutely loved Beerus and Whis! They were excellent additions to the cast, and the concept of multiple universes added a whole new layer to the Dragon Ball world. That idea alone made me genuinely excited to see what was coming next. That said, I never liked how Super Saiyan God was first achieved via this ritual. It felt gimmicky. Still, the form itself was very pleasing visually; it was clean, quite minimalistic, and the hair color was gorgeous. Then Resurrection F happened… and it was a disaster. I was excited to see Frieza return, but everything about that movie and its anime adaptation felt poorly written and lazily executed. I was especially disappointed by the complete absence of the regular SSJ God form. Instead, we got SSJ Blue, which just didn't click with me. It felt like a rushed upgrade with no real depth behind it; Goku was also defeated by a miserable ring/laser blaster. An infinitely weaker Kid Goku tanked a bullet to the head in episode one of OG Dragon Ball, and Goku that had absolutely no idea what was it that Bulma was about to do. Logic. The Universe 6 arc was... dull. I liked Champa a lot! His dynamic with Beerus was hilarious and full of personality, but most of the new characters were forgettable, and the writing felt flat. I was looking forward to more Saiyans from another universe, and we, indeed, got just that with Cabba, but the whole execution of a lot of things left a lot to be desired. Boring Battles, nobody did anything interesting (besides Hit's time skip technique and Goku's Kaio-Ken stacked on top of SSJ Blue), Cabba's transformation into SSJ is a joke (I guess, nobody ever got mad, insulted or threatened once in his universe). The whole tournament had potential, but the arc just didn’t deliver. The Goku Black arc had massive potential; not that I agreed with Future Trunks coming back, but truth be told, it all started off strong, with great atmosphere and stakes; but it completely collapsed halfway through. The time travel logic was all over the place, the pacing suffered badly, and the ending was downright terrible; also, Zamasu's motivations felt increasingly vague, and his fusion form was more annoying than intimidating by the end. The Tournament of Power might’ve been the segond most solid arc overall in Super (BoG being the better one). I enjoyed Frieza's personality and role in it a whole lot! His interactions with Goku and the others were gold. Some fights were genuinely exciting and well animated too! The arc however, was a rollercoaster of highs and lows... the paper-thin characters (like the majority of the Pride Troopers), inconsistent animation, poorly tought off logic (looking at you tingly back) and some seriously questionable power scaling. The sudden introduction of Ultra Instinct was cool at first, but I felt the lack of buildup made it feel a bit unearned (also, was never a fan of Whis teaching Goku something he had already learned with Mr. Popo in the OF Dragon Ball... but I guess we gotta keep on making up new forms). Still, the ending was satisfying, and some episodes looked fantastic. The Broly movie is great fun from beginning to end, not gonna lie! The animation is fantastic, the art is solid most of the time, and overall, it’s an absolute banger. That said, I don’t like how Broly is suddenly on the same level as Super Saiyan Blue or Golden Frieza. If Frieza’s power up after just four months of training already stretches logic, then Broly’s rapid rise in strength feels even harder to justify. Super Hero... I don’t like it. I mean, I like Orange Piccolo, and Beast Gohan looks cool, I guess; but that’s about it. And when it comes to Cell Max, I’m still baffled by how humans can build androids and robots with such colossal levels of strength, but oh well. GT: When it comes to GT… well, most of it is a total snoozefest. The first arc (The Black Star Dragon Balls) has its moments, but overall it feels rushed, shallow, and not particularly well thought out. It just didn’t work for me. The Baby arc, on the other hand, is definitely more interesting, but flawed. Baby’s power is ridiculously overpowered, he can possess and infect basically anyone, yet he conveniently forgets to use this power for his, on Goku, despite showing no prior limitations with it. That alone breaks a lot of the internal logic. Baby Vegeta also jumps through two transformations in a single episode for no apparent reason, and a Blutz Wave machine aparently materializes out of nowhere. That said, I do like SSJ4 and how it’s acquired. But I'm still not sure it's ever fully explained how Goku reverts from the Golden Oozaru back into a humanoid form. He regains consciousness, and... what exactly is the trigger? Is it that stacking Super Saiyan on top of the Oozaru form unlocks this transformation? Still, in my mind, it’s better than what Daima gave us in regardsto this Saiyan form. Also, I want a Dr. Myuu figure someday. I love his design with the slick glasses and crazy vibe. The Super 17 arc? Total mess. It reeks of “we have no idea what we’re doing, but here you go.” Super 17 himself looks awesome; his design is pure fire! And his brutality against Krillin shows he was not playing games. Android 18’s moment with Krillin was genuinely emotional too, and I appreciated that. The final moment with 18 distracting him, and Goku using the Dragon Fist to finish him off was cool too. But nothing about the plot makes any real sense. How exactly did Gero and Myuu create a second Android 17? How did they take control of Earth’s 17? Why does blasting ki into the earth's sky, and hell's ground open a portal to hell? Why does Goku keep spamming ki blasts when they clearly don’t work? Why was Super 17 afraid of 18’s bomb, was it secretly a univesal buster or what? Too many questions with no real answers. Finally, the Shadow Dragon arc. Phenomenal concept! Seriously, I love the idea that overusing the Dragon Balls has consequences. But the execution is rough. Four out of seven dragons are absolute garbage; poorly written, boring, and completely uninspired. One of them even rehashes a Dragon Ball episode (Princess Goku becomes Princess Trunks, basically). Nuova Shenron, however, is excellent. Loved his personality, moral ambiguity, and the contrast with his brother, Eis. Then Omega Shenron appears; chaotic personality, but a beast of a fighter and entertaining to watch. SSJ4 Gogeta was a clown for some reason, but man, that design... it’s top tier. I kept wondering, “Is this red haired form supposed to be SSJ5 or something?”. Sadly, like much of GT, only half of this arc truly delivers. Final Thoughts: Overall, I’d place Daima above both Super and GT; mainly because it was short, looked beautiful, and had consistent animation and art quality. As for GT and Super? Both are stuck at the same level of mediocrity for me, with different strengths and different flaws, but neither one truly stands out as a whole.

I think DBS and GT are pretty terrible outside of a few key moments or arcs. Daima wasn't amazing either but I certainly enjoyed it more than the other two.

All three are mediocre and full of problems, far from the level of the original manga. But if I had to choose, I'd choose Daima.

The german version of GT was horrible. The censorship is crazy and many episodes are missing so the story makes no sense. As a kid without internet you think wtf did i miss on TV? In Super the voice actors from Z were replaced completly and any fan dub was better than the official trash release. Based on english / japanese version i prefer DB Super. But in my opinion GT SSJ4 ist still better than Daima Version or SSJ blue.

GT is hands down the worst for me. Super is the best just because it "feels" like the true continuation of the DB/DBZ timeline. Daima gets a lot of hate but overall I found it to be a very fun story with great animation and it didn't outstay its welcome. Nice quick side story that held my attention way better than GT did.

D: None I like/dislike all 3 for different reasons. It's hard to pick the best out of these 3.
