Grandma Cora, you are the reason Mississippi is home. The reason we speak to strangers driving by on a two lane road. The reason I grew up singing in a small, CME church choir, in Eudora, MS. Thank you for making this land, this state, with its bloody & painful history, home. It should’ve been bitter, but you gave us family, and made it sweet.
