Hi everyone, I have a very important announcement to make. Firstly I just wanted to say I really appreciate all of your support throughout the past 3 years and I am grateful for how much this channel has grown. Working on all these exciting MAPs and meeting new people has truly been a blast!!
However, I have always wanted to center my focus towards creating animated music videos and larger projects since way before I created this channel. I strayed away from making any AMVs because of my lack in confidence and skill, and so I pretty much dedicated most of my time to joining MAPs and improving my skills through shorter works. In the beginning, MAPs were so much fun and exciting to be a part of and I really improved at a tremendous rate. But within the past year, I have felt like they have been causing a negative impact on my motivation and mindset as an artist. I used to value my skill and improvement based on the opinion of others and things that shouldn't matter like how well my videos performed or my subscriber count. I also feel like I get rejected to well over 90% of the MAPs I apply to and I know for a fact that the reason is not due to skill level or experience. Working like crazy every day to improve only to get cheated out of a part by someone who only has more subscribers going for them has become a disheartening cycle that keeps on repeating. At this point, it feels like the only way to get accepted into interesting or large MAPs is by having a personal connection to the host or applying for "any" part. But that for me defeats the purpose since I don't join MAPs just for the sake of being included in the final project, but rather to have fun and create my own visual interpretation of a specific scene(s) in the project. There are several other reasons but ultimately, MAPs have become more of a burden and hassle to try and join/complete as opposed to a fun and exciting way to improve my work.
I also don't feel like this channel captures the identity of the type of projects and message I want to put out to everyone, so I have decided to create a brand new channel and have a fresh start. The main reason I chose to become an animator was to make people happy. I love inspiring people and making their day just a little bit better, and I plan on doing that by creating meaningful stories and expressing them through my love for animation.
I hope you understand my decision and I thank you all for the great memories I experienced here. I'll leave a link to my new channel down below if you want to continue following me on my new journey, although there won't be as frequent uploads as before.
