Luckily Germany is also on the list who recognizes this genocide. I have heard that some Turkish parents in Germany have put pressure to some schools to not teach this Genocide in history. Let's never forget this genocide and have solidarity with Armenia. ๐ฉ๐ชโค

For all of you, 24 April is just another ordinary day. But 110 years ago, Armenians were living through hell. Today the world celebrates the tragedy of the Armenian genocide, which took place 110 years ago on 24 April 1915.
Almost 1.5 million Armenians died, mainly in Anatolia and western Armenia. The genocide that was so proudly committed by the Turks is still a lie to make them feel guilty, but as they say "the truth will always come out" and the truth is that we have archival evidence of the existence of a genocide in which the Armenians were seen as threatening and inferior to the Turks. Even today, neither Turkey nor Azerbaijan or any other Turkish country recognises the Armenian genocide.
Yet the existence of this genocide is very real for many countries. The first country in the world to recognise the Armenian genocide was Uruguay on 20 April 1965. Other countries that have wished to recognise the Armenian genocide as a sign of justice for the Armenian people include Russia on 14 April 1995, Lebanon on 11 May 2000, Greece on 25 April 1996 and many others. More than thirty countries in the world recognise the Armenian genocide and I am proud to see my beautiful country, France, on this list. Our great President Chirac took the initiative of putting pressure on Turkey by officially recognising the Armenian genocide on 29 January 2001. Since that day, diplomatic and bilateral relations between Armenia and France have strengthened and I thank Chirac for having taken the right initiative in the name of justice.
For far too long, the Turks have been hiding their true nature, denying the reality of the past in order to save their reputation. We French and our beautiful country are not going to fall into the Turkish trap and we are certainly not going to believe their absurd propaganda. As a purely patriotic Frenchman, I will support again and again our true allies, our brothers and sisters, who represent Armenia in the eyes of France. We will always be with them and we will never stop abandoning them. Let justice be done for the 1.5 million Armenians who died at the hands of the Ottomans.
Long live Armenia and its sovereignty ๐จ๐ต๐๐ฆ๐ฒโ๏ธ๐ฆ๐ฟ๐น๐ท
