It seems that a growing number of people are getting tired of the culture wars. I’m not the only one becoming numb to so much of it. Channels that focus on the culture wars are seeing a decrease in watch time and subscribers in general. When I asked Grok, ChatGPT, and Gemini if people are getting tired of the culture wars, all three answered with a resounding YES.

You don't have to ask AI to know. But honestly, as much as we are tired of it, we are addicted to outrage. It feels good to be righteous. I don't know how much farther down the hill this snowball has.

I've always felt that the culture wars are a diversion, stopping us from focussing on important issues. Its almost always about an issue that affects a small percentage of people that's blown up out of all proportion to engage us emotionally and get us to think that x,y or z is coming for us next. The problem is for all of us sick of it, there are following generations that can't quite see the difference between culture wars and important issues: they may not have even known a time other than culture wars: perhaps they think culture wars are a normal way of discussing important issues.

Yea this is ridiculous and makes socializing almost impossible anymore. I miss being able to connect to others without everyone constantly trying to find something to be mad about when it comes to the things you do/ say etc. get a hobby people!

We need a more proportional emphasis on the issues that plague society. I won't ever get tired of politicians who are trying with good faith to solve the incredibly complex and important problems.

@3dge--runner

What people are not sick of though, is you narrating more JCS videos :)

@hericium1997

Honestly sick of it. I just want to see people as Jim or Hellen and not as some big group of people pitted against another.

I’m not even 30 and I’m tired of everything.

They are now almost done with culture wars and starting a war between AI and humans. This comment section shows a few warriors for example. (I also posted part of this comment as a reply to a comment.)

@monotypical_

Personally I’m sick of it too. Because it’s literally bled into everything. People can’t talk about movies or video games without bringing it up

I'm at the point personally where no matter my views on it, I just want both sides to shut up and focus on greater things at hand. It feels like it's all becoming a distraction to keep us focused away from more important things and to keep us divided, including within our own governments. They would rather hold hearings and discussions on culture war topics instead of how to fix our economies, get more people in the work force, etc.

@AmericanStonehenge

I'm glad we have AI to keep us sane through these hard times.

Why are you asking an LLM a question like that?
