I only watch your Overthinking Resident Evil series and the editing is fine. Its minimalistic but conveys the points fine. Dont need to overthink it, dont need to over do it. Youre doing great.

Having only watched the DKC2 videos (you can probably literally track my progress by comments lol), I can only comment on those, but I’ve seen too many analysis videos essays where the author(?) will describe something about the game but doesn’t use footage at that moment to illustrate the point. I very much appreciate that I can just glance down and see exactly what you’re taking about because you took the time to sync the footage with the talking points. It seems so obvious but it’s noticeable when folks don’t do it. There’s also a sense of completeness to the videos. I feel like every noteworthy aspect of a level is covered - mentions if the enemy population, the speculative environmental storytelling, even the fun trivia like sticker brush symphony being written for a water level are great details. I guess the TLDR is that the quality of editing and exhaustive analysis give the videos a level of polish that help these videos stand out.

To answer this I looked back at one of your previous videos (poisonous pipeline, dkc3) During the entirety of your script you always show or cut to footage that is relevant to what you're talking about. When you mention the gas shot from the K.Rool fight, you display it briefly. when you talk about Enguarde, you show Enguarde etc. Also, when finishing a sentence you also switch to footage using a pleasant blurring effect. I think your editing is fantastic. I mainly watch your videos for your opinion and analysis of games I'm interested in and I think your editing serves your videos very well. I hope you keep this up!

Snappy without whiplash - some channels go breakneck. Audio balancing nice, voice-over crisp not harsh - no pops, no peaks, no valleys. Visuals meander topically, focusing on thematic through-line but variant for novelty - snap focus on relevant voice-over context. Fkn textbook - with a good feel for timing. MILK MILK LEMONADE - a point on its own. Time constraints - you're doing it yourself, shit happens, it works around you, which is important. I'd suggest not working around it if you can avoid it - psychology is funny. Always room to improve, but the improvements are incremental but noticeable. Your insights and niche coupled with your chemistry with them in the content being it home nicely. No-one is for everyone, you'll grow into your own style for pretty much every aspect of the process, some will like it, yadda yadda.. You're doing alright dude, chill tfo 🤙

Hey, I was a lil confused about which option to choose. I definetely think your editing is good, but I wouldnt tell you to put less effort lol I like because it's dynamic, ut has good flow and movement. I dont like it when cuts are needlessly long or SUPER short (so short that they seem to be edited my a hyperactive monkey, and leave you nauseated).

Very watchable videos. Great content. I'd say slow down your speech a touch if you can, you packed in a lot of info in your Overthinking series and giving it room to breathe would be a minor improvement.
