Do you think Sith Philosophy is "Evil" in nature?

@Samsaraindo

Selfish, but not evil inherently.

Ask wolves, tigers, and predators,,, they all agree that herbivores don't understand this question 😉

I once heard an Australian politician say that there is nothing inherently wrong with pursuing power if you then use that power to enrich the lives of others. Not directly Sith philosophy, but a lesson is there... selfish behavior can position you to a place of great generosity. So then neither the Jedi or Sith were ever 100 percent good/evil.

Prince Zuko rejected everything he was taught in favor of his own passions, turned on the people who held him back, joined someone he was supposed to fight, and earned the right to rule by beating his rival in a duel. It sounds like the Sith Code to me.

Philosophy like all literature can be interpreted differently from person to person

Being dominant is different from being cruel.

I cannot state anything more than what has been said. It is nice to be among like minded people.

THAT'S HARD TO SAY. I JUST THINK THE WHOLE IDEA OF "SITH TEACHINGS " IS INCREDIBLE. KEEPS YOU STANDING STRONG AND READY TO TAKE ON ANYTHING.

Emotions are natural, how they are used can be good or evil. Directing our emotions to motivate and achieve success rather than destruction is good.

I'm enjoying reading these comments. It's been a long while since I've seen a good Star Wars philosophy discussion with many various opinions.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely. It's the individual that makes it evil.

In todays society indipendence, critical thought and self actualisation / self improvement , overcoming fear are called evil but are good. Evil is causing harm because you like to. Its not a philosophy.

@mrperfectjeff

It is a philosophy of evolution and empowering oneself. It's pretty much just the rule of nature

Like any power, it depends on who is wielding it.

"Well, if it works." It's pragmatic. Evil is an invention of the soft bellied and comfortable
