The railfan community went crazy when the announcement that New York Central 3001 was being restored to running condition. While the news has been great. Many people are gonna miss 3001 being on static display. But everyone is still excited according to what I know The Fort Wayne railroad historical society (FWRHS for short) . Never looked at 2933 in St. Louis but they wanna get New York Chicago and St. Louis (Nickel Plate road for short) 170 for restoration to running condition. And then there is the big question Who will take 3001’s spot when she gets restored New York Central 999 New York Central 6894? Who knows. Still I am super excited for this (Even if I am more of a PRR & CB&Q guy LOL )
